JOB TITLE SUZUKI VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR LOCATION: Ames, Iowa REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum Suzuki training in violin from pre-twinklers through Book 7. * Love for children, people, music, and musicianship. * Teaching experience is preferred. * Ability to teach either cello or viola will be an asset.` RESPONSIBILITIES: * Teach 40- 45 students in an established studio - pre-twinkle through Book 7 level. * Actively coordinate group lessons, play-ins, and recitals. * Coordinate activities with three other Suzuki teachers for a total of 100 students. COMPENSATION: Competitive salary $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, dependent upon education level and previous teaching experience. WORKING CONDITIONS: The Suzuki Violinists of Ames is an established program which includes 100 violinists and is supported by a parent organization that actively assists teachers, students, and parents in recruiting new teachers, coordinating activities, aiding in preparation for performances, and gathering funds to accomplish these goals.
